Founded in 2004, Terras de Alter was the result of a partnership between two companies with a long agricultural tradition in the region – the Agricultural Society of Antas and the Agricultural Society of Monte Barrão – and the experience and expertise of oenologist Peter Bright.  Acquired by Ímpar,S.A. in 2021, the project was given greater financial autonomy and therefore more growth capacity, reinforcing the emphasis on superior quality wines and representing significant added value for the region.  Always maintaining quality as a hallmark, the wines from Ímpar, S.A. showcase winemaker Peter Bright’s almost 20 years of dedication to a project that continues to evolve. 

Terra D’Alter Tinto Expressao 2021 Red Alentejo Regional Wine, Portugal. Purple-red color with a dark center, ripe red fruit, plum, liquorice and spice. Unoaked blend of 35% Trincadeira, 35% Aragonez, 10% Syrah.

Terra D’Alter Alvarinho 2021 White Alentejo Regional Wine, Portugal. Refreshing minerality, with a complex finish from the barrel fermentation, subtle notes of citrus fruit and white peach. 100% Alvarinho grape variety, unoaked.

Terra D’Alter  Alicante Bouschet 2020 Red Alentejo Regional Wine, Portugal. Intense notes of black fruit and spices, with floral nuances, fresh and dried plums, excellent acidity and structure, rich and silky tannins, very long finish with notes of chocolate and vanilla. %100 Alicante Bouschet grape variety and aged 14 months in used American oak barrels.                        

Terra D’Alter Tinto Reserva  2019 Red Alentejo Regional Wine, Portugal. Rich red color with aromas of ripe red fruit, violets and spicy notes, good acidity and structure with integrated oak followed by a soft, prolonged finish. Blend of 35% Trincadeira, 35% Tinta Caiada, 10% Aragonez, 10% Alicante Bouschet 10% Petit Verdot. Aged 22 months in American oak barrels.
